Until 2010, Arenal held the title of Costa Rica's most active volcano, delighting visitors with its regular displays of colossal lava flows, gas emissions, and ash eruptions. This eruptive cycle, which commenced with the infamous eruption of 1968, recently came to an end.
Presently, visitors may not witness the beloved explosions, although this could change in the coming months or years. Nonetheless, travelers to Arenal can still revel in its abundant natural wonders and engaging activities, including indulging in soothing hot springs, embarking on invigorating mountain hikes & partaking in fishing expeditions
