This print captures Hohensalzburg Fortress crowning the hill above Salzburg, Austria, its pale ramparts overlooking the baroque rooftops of Mozart's birthplace. Ringed by the Alps and the Salzach river, the mighty medieval castle presides over one of Europe's loveliest cities.
A romantic piece for anyone who has wandered Salzburg's old town, or dreams of an Alpine escape in Austria.
Destination write-up
Here’s the write-up that features on your print.
Austria, a captivating tapestry of culture and nature, where the past harmonizes with the present, and the alpine breeze carries the whispers of history. Picture a country where imperial palaces stand as sentinels to a bygone era. Vienna, the grand dame of European cities, boasts the Hofburg Palace, a regal testament to Habsburg opulence.
The air is redolent with the melodies of Mozart and the rustle of waltzing gowns at the Schönbrunn Palace. In the west, the enchanting city of Salzburg, a symphony in stone framed by the Alpine embrace, conjures visions of Mozart's compositions echoing through cobbled streets. The Hohensalzburg Fortress crowns the city, a silent witness to tales etched in the walls of time.
Travel south, and the alpine landscapes of Tyrol unfold. Here, in Innsbruck, the Golden Roof glints like a jewel against the snow-capped peaks. The Nordkette mountain range becomes a majestic backdrop to a city where modernity and tradition waltz hand in hand.
Print size & quality
Every piece is printed on thick, 175gsm fine-art matte paper with archival inks — so the colours stay rich, deep and true for years, with no fading and no fuss. Before it heads your way, it's wrapped in soft tissue to keep it scratch-free and sent out in a sturdy kraft tube or a robust triangular kraft box (never plastic).

Fancy it ready to hang? Add a solid pine frame — sturdy, handsome and built to last. Take your pick from black, natural wood, or white. Each one is 20–25mm deep and 10–14mm wide: the sweet spot between strength and understated good looks.
We finish every frame with shatterproof, crystal-clear plexiglass to keep your print pristine — and it arrives already framed, so it goes straight from the box to your wall with no faff.
