Rising from the Tyrrhenian Sea in cliffs of pale limestone, Capri holds court as the Mediterranean's most enchanting island. Fishermen and emperors alike have fallen under its spell, drawn by cobalt waters and the scent of lemon groves on the breeze. Here, glamour and simplicity share the same narrow, sun-bleached lane.
Sail into the Blue Grotto, where sunlight bends beneath the rock to set the water aglow. Climb toward the Faraglioni, the great stone stacks that rise from the sea, or wander the Gardens of Augustus for views over Marina Piccola. In the hilltop hush of Anacapri, take the chairlift to the summit of Monte Solaro, where the Bay of Naples unfolds below, and the coast of Amalfi shimmers in the distance.
