Cho Oyu, the sixth-highest mountain in the world, rises gracefully to 8,188 meters above sea level, making it one of the majestic sentinels of the Himalayas. Known as the "Turquoise Goddess," Cho Oyu's name derives from the Tibetan words for "Goddess" and "Turquoise," reflecting the striking blue hues often seen in the icy slopes and expansive glaciers that adorn its flanks.
Located on the border between Tibet and Nepal, Cho Oyu stands as a beacon of tranquility and natural splendor, often considered the most accessible of the eight-thousanders due to its relatively moderate climbing routes. This majestic peak, part of the Mahalangur range just west of Everest, offers an alluring blend of challenge and beauty, attracting mountaineers and adventurers from around the globe.
