Cross the Tay on Thomas Telford's elegant bridge and follow the water's edge through the Hermitage, where Ossian's Hall perches above a roaring waterfall. Beyond, the Birnam Oak endures from the old Caledonian forest, linked to Shakespeare's Macbeth.
