Here is the original patent drawing for the fire helmet, granted on 29 November 1932 as US 1,889,537 to Edward Cairns. The sheet details the helmet's distinctive silhouette — the broad brim, the reinforced crown and the protective shaping — each line drawn to show how it shields the wearer from heat and falling debris.
