This is the original patent drawing for a flute, granted on 20 October 1908 as US 901,913 to inventor Djalma Julliot. The sheet lays the instrument out along its length, every key, pad and tone-hole drawn and numbered so the intricate mechanism that shapes each note stands fully revealed.
