This is Frank (2014), like you've never seen it before... told entirely in colour. The most prominent colour of every frame comes together to form a colour barcode of the film — a vivid portrait of its mood, light and palette from beginning to end. Choose your layout: the full design with the film's title, year and key credits, a simpler version with just the title and year, or the barcode on its own — a love letter to Frank for those who know it scene by scene.
Domhnall Gleeson plays Jon, an office worker and would-be songwriter who joins an unpronounceable avant-garde band led by Frank, played by Michael Fassbender, who never takes off his giant papier-mâché head. Jon Ronson co-wrote it from his own years playing keyboards for Frank Sidebottom, the comic creation of Manchester musician Chris Sievey. Lenny Abrahamson shot it in Dublin, County Wicklow and New Mexico, and at its Sundance premiere the audience was handed Frank masks.
