This print captures the brooding mountains of Glen Etive, a remote Highland glen winding down towards the sea loch in the shadow of the Buachaille. The photograph takes in the heather slopes, tumbling burns and dramatic peaks of one of Scotland's most cinematic wildernesses.
A stirring piece for anyone who has driven the single-track road into Etive, or who loves the untamed grandeur of the Highlands.
Destination write-up
Here’s the write-up that features on your print.
Glen Etive is a remote and picturesque glen in the Scottish Highlands, known for its stunning natural beauty and sense of tranquility. The single-track road that winds through the glen offers breathtaking views of towering mountains, tumbling waterfalls, and the serene River Etive, which flows gently through the valley.
This peaceful glen has gained fame as a filming location for movies like "Skyfall," and its unspoiled landscapes provide a haven for hikers, photographers, and nature lovers. The mountains that surround Glen Etive are popular with climbers, while the river and lochs are perfect for fishing and kayaking. Deer can often be spotted wandering the hillsides, adding to the sense of wilderness that makes Glen Etive so captivating.
At the end of the road, the glen opens up to Loch Etive, a stunning sea loch framed by rugged mountains, creating a picture-perfect destination that feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Print size & quality
Every piece is printed on thick, 175gsm fine-art matte paper with archival inks — so the colours stay rich, deep and true for years, with no fading and no fuss. Before it heads your way, it's wrapped in soft tissue to keep it scratch-free and sent out in a sturdy kraft tube or a robust triangular kraft box (never plastic).
