Golden light spills across a sea of cloud in this print of Glencoe, the jagged Highland peaks rising like islands above the mist at dawn. The photograph catches the burning orange sky and rolling inversion over one of Scotland's most dramatic and storied glens.
A breathtaking piece for anyone who has climbed above the clouds in the Highlands, or who dreams of Glencoe's wild grandeur.
Destination write-up
Here’s the write-up that features on your print.
Glencoe is a breathtaking valley in the Scottish Highlands, renowned for its awe-inspiring landscapes and dramatic history. Towering mountains, deep glens, and cascading waterfalls define this iconic area, making it a haven for outdoor enthusiasts and photographers alike.
Known as the "Weeping Glen" due to its historical significance, Glencoe was the site of the infamous Massacre of 1692, adding a poignant layer to its natural beauty. Today, the glen attracts hikers and climbers from around the world, eager to tackle the imposing peaks like Buachaille Etive Mòr and Aonach Eagach Ridge.
The road through Glencoe offers spectacular views at every turn, with each season bringing its own unique charm—from snow-capped winter summits to heather-covered hills in summer. The village of Glencoe itself, nestled at the foot of the mountains, provides a warm welcome with its traditional inns and local hospitality, making it the perfect base for exploring this majestic corner of Scotland.
Print size & quality
Every piece is printed on thick, 175gsm fine-art matte paper with archival inks — so the colours stay rich, deep and true for years, with no fading and no fuss. Before it heads your way, it's wrapped in soft tissue to keep it scratch-free and sent out in a sturdy kraft tube or a robust triangular kraft box (never plastic).
