This is the original patent drawing for the Fender electric guitar, granted to Clarence L. (Leo) Fender on 22 November 1960 as US 2,960,900. The sheet lays out that unmistakable solid body and bolted neck, pickups and controls mapped with an inventor's clarity — the blueprint behind a sound that would come to define rock and roll.
