Two lonely teenagers in the suburban 1990s bond over a late-night supernatural television show, and slowly the boundary between its world and theirs begins to dissolve. Jane Schoenbrun directs a hypnotic, neon-drenched piece of horror about dysphoria and denial, anchored by Justice Smith and Brigette Lundy-Paine as friends drifting through their own lives. Alex G's score hums underneath like static.
