High on a volcanic plateau at 2,240m, Mexico City sprawls between mountains and memory, a metropolis built atop the ruins of Tenochtitlan. Here Aztec foundations meet Spanish baroque and modern murals, and the air carries the hum of a capital that never quite sleeps.
