This is the original patent drawing for a motion picture projector for sound motion pictures, granted on 11 August 1936 as US 2,050,494 to Theodore Lindenbergh. The sheet details the mechanism that married picture to sound — reels, optics and the intricate workings that filled darkened cinemas with music and speech.
