Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow play Romy and Michele, best friends who decide the only way to face their ten-year high school reunion in Tucson is to arrive as successful businesswomen, and settle on having invented Post-it notes. The pair started life in Robin Schiff's 1988 stage play Ladies Room, where Kudrow first played Michele. Director David Mirkin spent about $240,000 of the budget licensing Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time for their dance at the reunion.
