Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg and Ted Danson play three bachelors sharing a New York apartment whose carefree lives are upended when a baby girl is left on their doorstep. Leonard Nimoy directed the American remake of Coline Serreau's French hit Three Men and a Cradle, and it became the highest-grossing film at the US box office in 1987. It also gave rise to one of Hollywood's best-known urban legends, about a ghostly boy supposedly glimpsed behind a curtain, which turned out to be a cardboard cutout of Danson.
