Off the Ionian coast of Greece, where turquoise waters meet limestone cliffs, Zakynthos unfolds as an island of legend and light. Known to Venetians as "Fiore di Levante," the flower of the Levant, it offers a blend of Greek soul and Italian grace found nowhere else in the Ionian Sea.
Sail toward Navagio Bay, where a shipwreck rests on powder-white sand beneath towering cliffs. Explore the Blue Caves near Cape Skinari, where sunlight filters through the water in impossible shades of sapphire. In Zakynthos Town, wander beneath the arcades of Solomos Square, and climb to the Venetian fortress at Bochali for views across the bay below.
Beyond its shores, the island reveals a gentler rhythm. Loggerhead turtles nest along Laganas Bay, part of the National Marine Park.
