This is Zulu (1964), like you've never seen it before... told entirely in colour. In January 1879, around 150 British soldiers at the mission station of Rorke's Drift hold out against some 4,000 Zulu warriors, in the defence that won eleven Victoria Crosses. Stanley Baker produced and starred, and gave Michael Caine his first major role, as the aristocratic Lieutenant Bromhead. Mangosuthu Buthelezi, later a South African political leader, played his own great-grandfather, King Cetshwayo, and Richard Burton narrates the opening and closing.
